What makes the LEDERHAAS brand something special?
For LEDERHAAS, dealing with the skin is not a business with the surface, but work on the depth. For us, nature is a teacher of sustainability in form and content. Their concepts inspire us, their raw materials convince us. Cultural works remind LEDERHAAS what it is really about when we produce and use cosmetic products. Ecology, economy, social issues and aesthetics belong together for LEDERHAAS. This is what LEDERHAAS is special about.
What is "skin" for LEDERHAAS?
For LEDERHAAS, the skin is part of the body and soul. It is a reflection of evolutionary events and individual experiences, a place of history and stories. The smile, as a sign of joy and happiness, the scar, as a trace of injury, is written into the skin in the same way as the food we eat, the sleep we may lack or a word that says to us was judged. Cosmetics primarily serve the purpose of skin health on body and soul.

Our products are designed, developed and manufactured in Austria.
Which oils are used for LEDERHAAS?
We rely on high-quality, bioactive, cold-pressed vegetable oils from controlled organic cultivation - as base oils as well as active ingredient oils. They contain valuable unsaturated fatty acids and a wealth of effective fat-accompanying substances such as lecithins, vitamins, phytosterols or carotenoids.
Which fragrances are used at LEDERHAAS?
We do without mainstream fragrances and draw from the modular system of exquisite natural fragrances. All essential oils are carefully selected and of the highest purity. No synthetic fragrances are used. Only 100% natural and organic essential oils are used for our formulations and fragrance compositions.
Are LEDERHAAS products not tested on animals?
LEDERHAAS does not test any of its products in accordance with the EU Cosmetics Regulation
animals. The products of our EDITION arrivée are also PETA cruelty-free certified.
Are LEDERHAAS products vegan?
We do not use any animal raw materials.
What are the quality standards of LEDERHAAS natural cosmetics?
LEDERHAAS is premium cosmetics, partly certified organic by the Austria Bio Guarantee and NaTrue. We do without synthetic fragrances, dyes, complexing agents, aluminum salts, parabens, paraffins, silicones, PEG, etc. This list is much longer, but we prefer to talk about what we use and love.
Our care products are based on effective, natural and skin-friendly plant ingredients from organic cultivation projects, Demeter cultivation or wild collection. Raw materials such as shea butter, coconut oil, etc. come primarily from fair trade projects, regional production and small farming cooperatives.
Environmentally friendly emulsifiers, surfactants and consistency enhancers supplement the natural substances used where necessary. We always keep an eye on biodegradability.
Where can I see the list of all ingredients in LEDERHAAS products?
All information including the complete list of ingredients can be found on the product pages of the LEDERHAAS website; In addition, each product has the list of ingredients (INCI) on the label.
What is the INCI list?
INCI is the abbreviation for "International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients". This information regulates the correct information on the raw material designation on cosmetic products throughout the EU and thus makes the ingredients transparent. Ingredients must be listed in descending order based on their percentage of the total weight of the product.
Do LEDERHAAS products have an expiry date?
The shelf life of our cosmetic products can be seen on the label. The jar symbol provides information about the shelf life after opening, the best before date shows the shelf life of the unopened container.
What preservation does LEDERHAAS use?
We preserve exclusively with raw materials approved for natural cosmetics. Natural vitamin E and vitamin C, organic alcohol, essential oils etc. support the shelf life of our products.
