The handmade collections of our ART EDITION are created in the interplay of natural fragrances with the rich and evocative world of culture: plant-based soaps like a poem, fragrances like a painting.

Lather up the bar of soap with a little water and spread evenly over the skin; avoid the eyes on the face. Rinse thoroughly.

After use place the bar of soap on a dish with draining function or on a loofah soap cushion. This way the bar of soap stays dry, retains its consistency and fragrance and stays productive for weeks.

R(a)a proportion

The bar of soap is based on a work by Arnulf Rainer from 1953/54. The non-colors black and white appear inverted, the proportions of the colored areas have changed compared to the original image: it is not a copy but an interpretation of the work of art that appears. The monochromaticity of a color surface corresponds to a fragrant plant, whose essential oil gives the soap layer its fragrance. Monochrome does not associate a scent composition from several plants, but the following applies: one color corresponds to a plant scent. The following plants were assigned to the "colors": Black: Liquidambar orientalis (Styrax), Beige: Vetiveria zizanoides (Vetiver), White: Melaleuka viridiflora (Niaouli). The fragrances are reminiscent of the smell of linen and studio in the harmony of the scented layers.

R(a)einer Baden

This bar of soap is a reference to the place where Arnulf Rainer was born - the city of Baden near Vienna. It is also a reference to the Arnulf Rainer Museum building in the city's former women's baths. The soap consists largely of salt: in the tradition of the bathing establishments, brine baths are considered to be particularly health-promoting. Its scent conveys freshness, purity and brightness: peppermint, orange, rosemary and lemongrass are part of the composition.

Arnulf Rainer is both an artist and a thinker. His work is accompanied by numerous essays and interviews in which he frames his work parergonally with great precision, wit and intellect. Inspired by a portrait photo by Enrique Fuentes, the artist's forehead can be found as a relief in the soap bar of the same name. embossing of an expression. Sign of a license plate.
